Episode 127 – One Piece Film Z

T0013923p

Bradley C. Meek and Dwayne Moloney join us to ostensibly talk about the 2012 One Piece movie, Film Z. However, Anthony has lots of questions about One Piece, and so it ends up more of a general One Piece discussion.

Plus all the usual features: WATCHUWATCH, Major Episode 2 is our Weekly Retro Recap and a game! This week it’s ANIME ALPHABET.

NB: There’s a few connection problems with Bradley late in the episode due to his housemate watching things on Netflix, but they are mostly confined to the game section.

Episode 74 – A Look Back At 2012

ditb074

Hello and Happy New Year. This is our 2012 in review episode with guest Bradley C Meek. We recorded this early in December, so it is entirely possible that some things we say now look foolish. I guarantee that some things we said looked foolish then. There’s also probably some things I meant to edit out at the time, but I can’t remember what they are, so they are definitely still in there.

All I know for sure is that my backing the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime in this podcast was totally proved right by episode 10 containing the greatest scene in television history.

Plus we play another game of “When Did People Give A Damn About…” that we forgot to play in episode 72, making this probably the biggest episode of DITB ever~!

Enjoy, and we’ll see you next week for the first episode of DITB 2013 proper and our all new feature THE WEEKLY RETRO REVIEW…

Episode 69 – Leeds Film Anime Day

It’s here, the day we went to Leed International Film Festival’s Anime Day 2012. And then recorded the podcast a week later due to Brian leaving his laptop in a completely different town. And then put it online yet another week later because we  always have one podcast in the hole.

But enough of the saga’d history of this episode, lets get into it. Greg Driver joins us to talk about the cannibalistic little tyke ASURA, Mamoru Hosoda’s tale of single parenting in the countryside, WOLF CHILDREN, Tiger & Bunny’s cinematic debut, TIGER & BUNNY: THE BEGINNING, and finally a double helping of bloody medieval melodrama, BERSERK THE GOLDEN AGE I & II!

It’s a bumper serving of DITB, so check it out!

Episode 52 – SUPERHERO MONTH PART 1 – ZETMAN

“Staked through the heart and you’re to blame, you give genetically engineered monsters designed for fighting, a bad name.”

That’s right, it’s 2012’s anime adaptation of Masakazu Katsura’s bloody superhero manga. Our first of four superhero shows, we discuss this melange of Batman, Devilman and Iron Man. Did we love it or hate it? Find out in a new episode of Dynamite In The Brain.

Episode 33 – Happy New Website

It’s here, DYNAMITEINTHEBRAIN.COM

So tell all the boys and girls. Your brother and your sister and your mamma too.

And then get mad that Google autocompletes “word up lyrics” as “word up lyrics korn” before it does “word up lyrics cameo”. I ask you, what’s the world coming to?

Well it’s come to this – Anthony and myself running down our top five anime shows of 2011. What will win? What will have been forgotten? Will we mention Madoka Magica at all?

SPOILER ALERT: NO

Then, not satisfied with that, we pick what shows look good to us in 2012. HINT: Spherical cats and swordsmen feature.

All this and the revelation of what anime character Anthony most identifies with!
