Famous Anime Podcast – Jump Into The Millennium

Today, we look at the Shonen Jump anime that led us from the 20th Century into the 21st Century. Then we decide which of them are famous. Helping us in that task are Niall and Dwayne from Secret of the Sailor Madness and Elliot from the UK Anime Network podcast.

Episode 250 – Episodes 250s

This week we celebrate an arbitrary landmark in our podcasting history by watching all the other episodes 250s that we could find on Crunchyroll. We check in on One Piece, Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, Gintama and Folktales from Japan. And go on a bunch of tangents too. Enjoy!

Episode 175 – The Anime ‘n’ Wrestling Connection (Part 1)

Six weeks late, but just in time for Wrestlemania, we are finally releasing our first Wrestling and Anime podcast. With special guest Bradley Meek from the Anime Now podcast.

Our theme is loosely New Japan Pro Wrestling, and it’s one that works itself very loose as we start with this week’s Just Enough To Bluff topic, 1969’s Tiger Mask and work our way to the barely wrestling related Love Live. With stops along the way for a Go Nagai bio-armour show, a gag episode of a long running anime series and the thing that pays NJPW owner Bushiroad’s bills – card games! Plus we watch some related wrestling matches and of course, play a game.

Part 2 to follow later this year, as we look at Kinnikuman and more!

Episode 146 – Anime Baldy Poker

krillin

Dwayne Moloney joins Anthony and Brian to play a game of Anime Baldy Poker. Somehow we get a lot of mileage out talking bald cartoon characters despite not really having a enough people to properly play this game or talking about all the bald guys we had on our lists.

Plus, another bald guy is our Weekly Retro Recap, the completely hair free (except when he has an Afro), Sergeant Frog. So grit your ears and get ready for your weekly dose of DITB!

Episode 139 – Anime Fatty Poker

hamuko_16688

Anthony and Brian are joined this week by Ebbie and Niall for a game of ANIME FATTY POKER. Each has selected a team of fat anime characters to represent them in a duel of the corpulent cartoons. Who will win? Find out on a big boned episode of DITB!

Oh, and Genshiken is still our Weekly Retro Recap.

Episode 128 – Anime Villain Poker

Anime Villain Poker

List podcasts! We’ve all heard them, and some of us have even recorded them. But taking our cue from the cruelly shuttered Treehouse, we are now adding the spice of competition to our list shows, beginning with Villains. Brian, Anthony and guests Bradley C Meek and Elliot Page have each created a list of anime villains and will battle it out to see whose list is the most diabolical.

Plus, WATCHUWATCH is introduced with an especially strained pun and our Weekly Retro Recap is episode 1 of Beck Mongolian Chop Squad.
