Famous Anime Podcast – Shonen Jump: Kochikame Onwards

Niall Flanagan from Secret of the Sailor Madness & Let’s Go join us as we return rating the fame of anime based on Shonen Jump manga. This week we look at manga that began between 1976 and 1984, from Kochikame to Fist of the North Star. Will we make the right choices for the next entries into the Famous Anime Podcast’s Hall of Anime Fame?

Other podcasts might tell you about unknown shows that you need to check out, but the Famous Anime Podcast is here to confirm that other people have heard about the anime you already know about!

Episode 214 – The Best Anime of 1986

Greg Driver joins us to run down the best anime from 1986. And what a collection of classics we have to discuss. One of the biggest Shonen Jump properties of all time, a Canadian dub, a movie that only one of us is sure he’s seen all of, vicious animals and Greg’s favourite toyline all feature in another rip-roaring episode of Dynamite in the Brain.

Episode 101 – Fist Of The North Star

You are already annoyed at the sound quality of Brian’s microphone.

This may be the worst sounding podcast we have put out. So, sorry in advance. Brian’s mixer decided to add a horrible hiss, which has been removed, but left him sounding like he’s been sealed in an oil drum.

Thankfully he said very little this podcast, so sit back and enjoy the dulcet tones of Anthony and our guests Dwayne Moloney and Niall Flanagan, from the Secret of the Sailor Madness podcast as they discuss the 1986 motion picture, FIST OF THE NORTH STAR.

Back to the Snowball next week, so hopefully no more problems for the foreseeable future.

Episode 62 – Top Hard Men & Women of Anime

Niall Flanagan from The Secret of the Sailor Madness podcast joins us again to run down our top 5 Hard Men and Women of Anime! Who are the meanest, toughest nuts we can name from the history of anime? Find out in the latest episode of Dynamite In The Brain!

Plus: Niall’s seen Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning, so we talk all about that again. We hope you aren’t sick of it, because there will yet another episode in about a month where we will bring it up again, as it’s showing at Leeds International Film Festival’s Anime Day.
